Getting your furry friend ready for their photo shoot session does not have to be stressful. If anything, you need to be calm and relaxed throughout as your pet has the tendency to pick up your mood.
Also, your pet photographer will be there to assist you before, during, and even after your shoot. If you have any questions, they'll be more than happy to help you out, so go stay in touch with them. Before that, here are tips to help you prepare your dog for their pet photography session in Singapore. 1. Give them a bath. And don't do it the day before or on the day itself of the shoot. Do it at least a week so your dog will look their natural best on their photos. It's okay if they're not as spotless during the shoot as chances are they'll also be rolling over on the location. What's important is that both of you have fun throughout. 2. Groom your dog. If you're not used to grooming your dog, that's okay. You want your dog to look as photogenic as possible. However, you'll want their photos to reflect the look that you see on them every single day. Also, it's good if the camera captures their eyes. But if you're not comfortable having hair trimmed around their eyes, that's fine too. 3. Check their collar. Chances are high their collar will be seen in photos. So, you'll want it to be as presentable as possible. If it's already worn, invest in a new one. If your dog uses harnesses, do check if they're still in good condition. You may want to choose a collar and harness that work together and will register great on photos. 4. Take your dog out for exercise. Give your furry friend a chance to stretch their legs. Walk them around the location before the shoot starts. Or take them around for jogging if they seem to have their energy working at its peak. You'll want them to calm down a bit during the session so taking photos will be easier. 5. Practice basic commands together. Take time to train your dog to follow basic commands, such as sitting or staying still. This will also help you and your photographer save time. While your photographer can probably do this too, it's different if it's their best friend talking to them. 6. Bring some of their favorite treats. This one you'll have to coordinate with your photographer. If they will be providing treats during the session, you'll want to avoid feeding your pup too much. However, it also pays to bring with you their favorite treats as back up. 7. Be there early. Be on the location early. Give your pup the chance to explore the location so they'll feel more at ease with their surroundings once the session starts. This will also give you the opportunity to play some more with your dog. Find a dog photography professional in Singapore that you'll feel comfortable working with. Remember, it's important that you feel good so your pet will also remain happy and relaxed throughout their session.
